iRest Meditation and Yoga

Trauma-informed yoga and iRest® meditation workshops and 1:1 sessions in Seattle, WA and online

Learning about iRest and nervous system regulation has transformed my approach to nutrition therapy.

And I’d love to share these practices with you–whether that’s woven into a nutrition session, an iRest co-meditation, or one of my workshops (Seattle and virtual).

Maybe you’ve been wanting:
Accessible tools to decrease overwhelm and regulate your nervous system
To incorporate mindfulness in your day but unsure where to start
To feel more resourced and resilient without adding more to your schedule
A delicious deep rest for your body and mind
Integrative Restoration (iRest) is a modern adaptation of the ancient practice of yoga nidra (aka Non Sleep Deep Rest) that incorporates clinical psychology and neuroscience to cultivate a sense of ease and security.

Known as “tools for life,” iRest helps you to meet whatever life is bringing you from a resourced place.

I’ve personally found these teachings to be profound, deep and life-changing.

The tools are highly accessible (I often practice while in bed or doing chores!) and available to everyone regardless of ability or circumstances.

iRest Meditation

iRest (Integrative Restoration) is a trauma-informed, evidence-based meditation practice.
Rooted in neuroscience, iRest helps you build inner resources, respond to stress with more ease, and cultivate a sense of inner steadiness.

There’s clinical research showing its use for:

Anxiety and Stress
Chronic pain
PTSD
Sleep problems

iRest Meditation

iRest 1:1 sessions are co-regulation meditations, welcoming you just as you are.

You don’t need prior meditation experience.

You don’t need to sit a certain way. You don’t need to “clear your mind.”

We simply work with what’s already here, meeting it from a resourced place.

iRest is available as:

  • 1:1 co-meditation sessions
  • A restorative workshop or add-on to your retreat or event
  • Part of your toolbox in nutrition counseling sessions

Yoga

My trauma-informed approach to yoga centers choice and empowerment.

Every movement is an invitation, not an instruction.

You get to decide what feels supportive and what your body needs in each moment.

Students typically leave class feeling more grounded and connected.

In sessions, we typically explore:

  • Stability and flexibility (no need to “be flexible”)
  • Balance and mobility
  • Breath-to-movement connection
  • Nervous system regulation
  • Body awareness and responsiveness (interoception)

This is a heading.

I bring together several strands of training and experience, including:

Meet Your Yoga & iRest Teacher

Hi I'm Minh-Hai
("Min-Hi")

As someone who has lived primarily in my head for years, I think it’s kind of funny that I teach yoga. But as the saying goes, we teach what we most need to learn.

I don’t teach as some “sage on the stage,” but as a fellow human who is continually learning and practicing, grateful for the chance to do so openly and in community. I’m particularly excited to share iRest tools with others as an accessible way to increase confidence, ease and regulation (which also supports your relationship with food and body).

There are so many parallels to how we relate with food and how we relate with ourselves and life. I think the same is true for body-centered practices like yoga. As my teacher Hala Khouri likes to say, “We practice on the mat so we can practice off the mat.” Over time, with practice, we can cultivate a real sense of body wisdom and self-trust.

I invite you to check out one of my classes or workshops–offered in the Seattle area and online–or to reach out about a 1:1 session tailored to your needs.

Let’s practice together.
